What is the IHSCDEA Hall of Fame?

A bit of history is in order for some of our members who were not around when we began this Association back in 1952. The IHSCDEA has a group of distinguished individuals recognized for their commitment and dedication to Illinois Driver Education and Traffic Safety since our inception in 1952. For a number of years we called this elite group of individuals Honorary Life Members. The Board of Directors decided a number of years ago to change the name of this group to the IHSCDEA Hall of Fame.

IHSCDEA HALL OF FAME NOMINATION APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Regional Directors need to explain that the following steps must be followed by people nominating individuals for the Hall of Fame.

1. All nominations and support materials must be submitted electronically on the IHSCDEA website. Nominations will no longer be accepted by USPS mail.

2. The application must include the nominator’s name, address, email address, and cell and/or home phone number and should include a narrative that highlights the nominee’s qualifications and achievements that qualifies them for consideration by the HOF Committee.

3.The resume of the nominee’s qualifications can be prepared by the nominee but must be turned in by the person(s) nominating that individual.

The Chairperson and/or HOF Committee shall check all nominations submitted for compliance and accuracy to the stated requirements and bring to the attention of the nominator any needed corrections.
